From various blister pack peg card play sets dated 1970, the Spaceman is marked Made in Hong Kong and LP. The LP logo is sometimes confused as IDL because of the way the letters are broken up. When you see a full size image of the logo it clearly depicts a human type figure hugging the letters L & P. There were a dozen or so Apollo Moon sets in a series featuring a few pieces, including a spaceman. The toys also showed up in other packaging at times, possibly from the vintage company Multiple Toymakers.
Here you have a cool base station which is missing the plastic front so the dials and gauges are exposed as you see them. It has three removable radar discs that rotate. It is 4 inches long, 2 3/8 inches tall,. The gold astronaut is 1 1/8 inch tall. The material for these pieces is hard plastic in easy Very Good condition, and the scale is around 1/72. I suspect a Train hobbyist may have owned these loose pieces as they were found in such nice shape with many others.
